About Me

Welcome! I'm Maqbool Commu Syed (Maq for short) and if you're here, you're probably looking for a bit of guidance—or maybe just a good laugh at my expense. Either way, you've come to the right place.

Think of me not as a therapist, but as a guide for your life's journey—someone who helps you navigate the twists and turns, not because you're lost, but because everyone can use a good map. Trust me, I’ve taken more wrong turns than a GPS with a glitch. I’m just here to share the shortcuts I’ve stumbled upon.

You know how just sitting in a doctor's waiting room can magically make you feel a bit better? Well, think of our sessions as the comfy chair in that waiting room. Sometimes, just talking things out can work wonders, and hey, at least I won’t prescribe you any bad daytime TV!

I've spent over 30 years navigating the worlds of IT, education, and counseling, working with people from all walks of life across various cultures and countries. From job stress and career hurdles to relationship woes, life coaching, and post-marriage blues, I've seen it all—and probably tripped over it a few times myself.

Remember Thomas Edison? He famously said, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Well, I haven’t invented the light bulb, but I have certainly discovered many ways not to solve problems, which means I've learned a thing or two about what does work.

Out of passion, I've also been a teacher in formal academia for years. I know you must be thinking, "Those who can, do; those who can't, teach." But trust me, I’m not that ineffective! My approach is straightforward: no judgment, no jargon, just real talk and practical advice.

Whether you're dealing with a bad boss, contemplating marriage, or feeling let down, frustrated, overwhelmed, vexed, misunderstood, or pried, I'm here to help. And don’t worry, I’m not the type of person who thinks, "If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail."

If nothing else, you’ll get to enjoy one of the most expensive coffees in the world with me (and yes, that’s my funny way of saying the fees are steep, but worth it).

So, if you're ready to turn those "wrong turns" into valuable detours, let's chat. After all, life’s too short to stay stuck in traffic.
